Post NLC Reflection: Kappa Sigma

Check out what the wonderful ladies of the University of South Florida-Kappa Sigma chapter had to say about their time at NLC back in July!

"Our chapter learned so much at NLC. We learned the specific tools needed to improve our chapter. These tools taught us how to handle certain situations and how to become better leaders in our chapter. I know personally, it has inspired me to become more hands on in my chapter. It has given me that push to be a better leader.

Not only did NLC help my leadership capabilities, it also brought me closer with sisters in other chapters. We met girls from all over the country and it was great to see what types of things their chapter does. I was able to take those ideas and use them for my chapter's personal issues. NLC was a great experience and I know that Kappa Sigma is so grateful for the opportunity."

Post NLC Reflection: Gamma Alpha

Here's another reflection from our Gamma Alpha chapter from the University of Miami, check it out!

"The Gamma Alpha delegates had a great time at this year’s National Leadership Conference. We were able to meet sisters from chapters across the country and exchange ideas. We evaluated our performances as officers and the needs of our chapter. Using the DOIT model for implementing change, we brainstormed new ideas to bring back to our chapter, including a Fall Sisterhood Retreat.

We also had a chance to visit the ZTA International Office, see a performance from INDYPROV, and attend Grand ZLAM Jam with our sisters.

Gamma Alpha is excited to return to school and Take Charge within our chapter. We are looking forward to a great year thanks to all of the ideas we gained from NLC.
Thank you to all who helped put together the amazing weekend!"

ZLAM,
Gamma Alpha

Post NLC Reflection: Kappa Tau

While NLC was a few weeks ago, we're still reflecting on it!

Check out what the Vice President II Audrey from Kappa Tau, Florida Gulf Coast, had to say about NLC...

"Being a part of NLC was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. Meeting so many sisters from across the country, and feeling their passion for our organization, reminded me of all the reasons that I chose to be in ZTA. Every chapter strives to continue moving forward in all aspects of our fraternity; sisterhood, risk management, programming. However, obstacles come up along the way that can be incredibly discouraging. Being able to hear other chapters speak about the same problems that our chapter has been experiencing was so uplifting.

Brainstorming, role playing, and discussions took place so we could fully develop the idea of what needs to be changed and how to change it. Taking action was the biggest message that I took home. [It is important] to not be afraid, and to take a stand and better the chapter; even if it seems too different or risky.

Spirit and pride was another astounding element to NLC. The Crown Chapter Dinner exceeded my expectations in every sense of the word. The energy literally electrified the room; girls crying from happiness, screams of surprise and clapping from joy. Hearing my chapter name be called for Crown Chapter will stay in my memory forever. It's one thing to know that your executive board has worked hard for the achievement, but it's another to hear it over a microphone and to be deafened by the applause of 600 sisters. That moment has changed my ZTA experience and I want many more generations behind me to experience the same."
