Post NLC Reflection: Kappa Tau

While NLC was a few weeks ago, we're still reflecting on it!

Check out what the Vice President II Audrey from Kappa Tau, Florida Gulf Coast, had to say about NLC...

"Being a part of NLC was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. Meeting so many sisters from across the country, and feeling their passion for our organization, reminded me of all the reasons that I chose to be in ZTA. Every chapter strives to continue moving forward in all aspects of our fraternity; sisterhood, risk management, programming. However, obstacles come up along the way that can be incredibly discouraging. Being able to hear other chapters speak about the same problems that our chapter has been experiencing was so uplifting.

Brainstorming, role playing, and discussions took place so we could fully develop the idea of what needs to be changed and how to change it. Taking action was the biggest message that I took home. [It is important] to not be afraid, and to take a stand and better the chapter; even if it seems too different or risky.

Spirit and pride was another astounding element to NLC. The Crown Chapter Dinner exceeded my expectations in every sense of the word. The energy literally electrified the room; girls crying from happiness, screams of surprise and clapping from joy. Hearing my chapter name be called for Crown Chapter will stay in my memory forever. It's one thing to know that your executive board has worked hard for the achievement, but it's another to hear it over a microphone and to be deafened by the applause of 600 sisters. That moment has changed my ZTA experience and I want many more generations behind me to experience the same."
